A brief flier to anyone in or around Adelaide for two (free) events over the coming eight days.
On Wednesday November 4th I'll be joining local restaurateur Cath Kerry for a Cultural Conversation on Food and Wine -- part of the Art & Heritage Collections Cultural Programme for the year. We'll be ranging far and wide, and contributions to the conversation from the floor are welcome. Head for the Ira Raymond Room in the Barr Smith Library (on the North Terrace campus)for 1 pm if you'd like to join in; no advance booking required.
Then six days later on Tuesday November 10th I'll be giving a public lecture at the Wine Centre (on the corner of North Terrace and Hackney Road) entitled 'Falling in Love Again: Australian Wine and the International Press'. This comes at the end of the Wine 2030 Research Network Blue Sky Day programme, but the lecture is open to all: head for Hickinbotham Hall in the Wine Centre for 6 pm -- though please RSVP to Christine Kalogeras on 08 8303 5672 for this one (or email wine2030@adelaide.edu.au). There will be time for questions, catcalls, heckling &c. after the lecture. Or during, if you wish.
I was fortunate enough to be invited to be the International Judge at the Limestone Coast Wine Show last week, and I'll be putting up a few recollections plus an edited version of the speech I gave during the presentation dinner a little later this week.

I had the lecture for the
I had the lecture for the 10th already pencilled in. Thanks for the reminder Andrew, I've RSVP'd now and look forward to the night.

Hi Andrew, thanks for a really informative talk at the Art and Heritage Collections Cultural Programme today, I really enjoyed it. I appreciated the opportunity to ask you a couple of questions afterwards and look forward to reading your Coonawarra wine show exploits.
I would love to catch up over a decent bottle, as there are 1000s of things that I could ask you.
Many thanks
Craig P.
