As deep in colour as the Échézeaux pair, with aromas of frank power, length and a kind of barrel-chested width, too. The fruits, typically for this vineyard, have a late-summer glory to them: raspberry and blackberry, brought on by warm evenings to scented perfection. These aromas are sustained, as if there was an engine driving them out, and as open as the hill. In the mouth, this is solid, rich, well-structured, ripe and long. A hugely impressive Richebourg, full of rugged wild warmth and swagger.
