This cask sample had a teasing bluefruit sweetness to it, intermingled with floral notes. The palate is almost acheingly concentrated, deep and thrusting, with a curranty style of fruit and a talc of tannins. The thrusting quality of 2006's acidity makes this something of a soprano compared to other vintages.
