Clean, savoury aromas, all pungency and refreshment: a huge style contrast to late-summer lushness of the previous vintage. Lively, round and vivid on the palate, with the hallmark Wedgwood tannins of La Mondotte but a slightly more thrusting, meaty flavour repertoire than normal. Impressively good.
