Andrew Jefford writes and broadcasts about different places on earth, and the foods, drinks and scents connected with them. He has won a number of different distinctions for his work including, in June 2008, the UK Guild of Food Writers Food Broadcast Award, for 'China Tea' on the Food Programme on BBC Radio Four.

The new site

After a short period offline, andrewjefford.com is now back up again. The structure of the new site is similar to its former counterpart, though my webmaster and I still have to import some of the old content. This will be restored by the end of July 2008.

After a holiday break in mid-June, Andrew will resume blogging in early July. Later in the summer, I will be adding further articles to the site, and post more of my gigantic tasting-note backlog, too.

I am planning new features (an eccentric Encyclopedia and a Shakespeare section) and more photo material, too. The world view section will get some attention soon: everything changes. But please keep sending me messages via the Q&A facility: I greatly value your contact and feedback.
